Penn Political Ideology Discourse Club

Sponsor: Lori Pettine

The purpose of the Penn High School Political/Ideology Discourse Club is to gather as many Penn students as possible into a safe and civil environment. In this environment, said students will have an opportunity to engage in civil discourse on  politics, ideology and other related subjects. The club is not to be ruled by one particular political party, ideology, or entity. All subjects relating to politics and ideology can be discussed, and will be, assuming the current club members are willing to vote in favor of said subjects. This club will exist for the want to conduct political and ideological discourse in a safe, civil, unbiased, and student led environment. This whole process is to be carried out in a very respectful way, one that is tolerant of diversity. The club hopes to add a level of responsibility to the members of said club, by expecting them to regularly attend meetings and actively participate.

These meetings would take place every Tuesday at 3:25 p.m. in Room 147.

College Information Night

The Penn Counseling Center is a resource for students as they plan for college.  One yearly event that is part of the services provided by the Counseling staff is the College Information Night event.  The information shared at this event can help students from all grade levels and is of particular interest for parents that have not been involved in preparing a child for college.  The video linked below is a recording of the 2018-2019 College Information Event but the information is still relevant in many ways.

Click here for the link for a presentation on valuable information to assist students as they undertake the college application process.
