Excellence in Education!

Penn High School is a large public high school located in suburban northern Indiana. As the flagship school of the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation, Penn serves all the district’s 9-12th grade students as well as hundreds of out-of-district students who have made Penn High School their school of choice.

In September 2023, the IDOE honored Penn with Excellence in College Readiness Award along with a $250,000 grant!

Penn’s national reputation for excellence is based on its outstanding academic, athletic and fine arts programs. 

Penn was named a 2023 Cognia® School of Distinction. Cognia, a global nonprofit school improvement organization grounded in research-based performance standards, accredits 40,000 public and private schools in 90 countries. Only 96 schools globally were recognized as Schools of Distinction, and Penn High School was among them, and the only high school in Indiana!

With a 98% graduation rate the Penn High community is focused on graduating responsible young adults who are college and career ready. Nearly 50% of Class of 2025 students graduated with Academic High Honors!
