Securly: Chromebook Safety Parent Portal
This year Penn Harris Madison Schools is giving parents access to their student's online activities through Securly.
Securly is a program parents can use to view student Chromebook use and to have control over what students have access to at home with their school issued Chromebook. Soon parents will receive an email from Securly on how to get started with the program; then parents will start receiving a weekly email from Securly that will show parents a preview of your student’s online activity while using their P-H-M issued Chromebook. Penn Volleyball beats Concord 3-0
The Penn Kingsmen swept the Concord Minutemen 25-3, 25-7, and 25-16 on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018.
Addy Kois lead the Kingsmen with 19 assists. Ally Hickey followed with 6 assists.
Emma Hickey had 10 digs and 4 aces. Maria Schwindaman 3 aces. Lauren Baker had 2 aces.
Alyssa Torres had 5 kills, Ally Hickey and Ali Moore each had 4 kills. Lauren Baker, Amari Torain, Molly Pooler, and Bella Phillips each had 3 kills.
Penn Tennis overpowers Mishawaka 5-0
The Kingsmen Boys Tennis Team overpowered Mishawaka, 5-0, in a Northern Indiana Conference match on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.

Penn Volleyball rolls past Riley
Penn Volleyball opened its Northern Indiana Conference season with a 25-7, 25-6, 25-5 victory against South Bend Riley on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018.
Ali Moore had 3 aces and 5 digs, Emma Hickey had 6 digs and Bella Phillips had 8 kills and a block.
Alyssa Torres had 15 kills, Molly Pooler had 5 kills, and Addy Kois had 15 assists.
Ally Hickey had 19 kills and 2 aces, Lauren Baker had 4 kills, and Amari Torain had 6 kills.
"This win was a total team effort," Penn Head Coach Lisa Pawlik said. "The girls came to win and took a step closer to their NIC championship goal."
Penn Girls Golf sweeps Mishawaka and Riley
The Penn Girls Golf team took on Mishawaka and South Bend Riley at the Eberhart Golf Course on the front par 36. The Kingsmen won convincingly. Penn finished with a 184, Mishawaka had 257 and Riley had 282. Grace Szlarek led all scores with a 39, followed by Ryen DeToro 47, Kate Burnett 48, Meghan Mounts 50, and Hannah Urbanski 56.
Penn Volleyball stuns perennial state power Muncie Burris to win Plymouth Invite title
Penn High School’s Volleyball team scored a signature victory on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018, when the Kingsmen stunned 22-time state champion Muncie Burris to win the Plymouth Invitational Championship.
Coach Lisa Pawlik’s Kingsmen rallied from a first-set defeat to win 16-25, 27-25, 18-16.

Penn Girls & Boys XC teams place in Top 5 at the Penn Invitational
Penn’s Girls and Boys Cross Country teams each earned Top 5 finishes in the Penn Invitational, hosted by the Kingsmen on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018.
The Penn Girls Team placed second in a close battle. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger finished first with 57 points. Penn was second with 63 points, followed by Homestead (68), Mishawaka (93) and Culver Academy (129).
The Penn Boys Team placed fourth. Valparaiso placed first with 55 points, followed by Homestead (61), West Noble (112), Penn (128) and Wabash (160).
Penn Girls Cross Country Coach Michael Clements was pleased with the Kingsmen effort.
“I’m extremely proud and excited how our ladies stepped up against two of the best squads in the State (Bishop Dwenger and Homestead),” Clements said. “We knew we would get challenged by the Saints and the Spartans, so to come within six points of an upset is a huge step in the right direction for our team and should give us a lot of confidence moving forward.
“The Lady Kingsmen’s races were made in the second half of the course today, moving up authoritatively during the most challenging part of the course to secure the runners-up honors,” Clements said.
The Penn Boys and Girls Cross Country Junior Varsity teams each won team titles at the Penn Invitational.
Penn finished with 27 points to claim the JV Girls team title. Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger was second with 41 points.
The Penn JV Boys finished with 26 points. Homestead scored 49 points to finish second.
