Girls Wrestling
Girls Wrestling became an Indiana High School Athletic Association sanctioned sport in 2024-2025. Sarah Hildebrandt, who won a Gold Medal at the Paris Olympics in 2024 and a 2021 Bronze Medal at the Tokyo Olympics, is a former Kingsmen wrestler. Penn won six state championships as a member of the Indiana High School Girls Wrestling Association.
Volleyball
Former Penn star Annie Drews is now an Olympic Gold Medalist. We were honored to have Annie Drews – our GOLD MEDAL 2020 Olympian return to Penn and talk with our players and leadership groups.
Welcome to Penn Volleyball. Penn High School boasts one of the elite Volleyball programs in Indiana. The Kingsmen own two state championships, 2010 and 2011.

Track & Field
The Penn High School Girls Track program boasted five individuals who earned state championship blue ribbons in the 2016 IHSAA Track and Field State Championships. The Kingsmen are consistently one of the top teams in the state in terms of qualifying student-athletes for the State Championships.
Tennis
The Penn High School Girls Tennis program traditionally qualifies for the IHSAA State Championships. The program has also developed numerous players to complete at the NCAA Div. I level.
Swimming & Diving
The Penn Girls Swimming Team consistently place swimmers in the IHSAA State Finals and has numerous state champions. Penn has a proud history of developing student-athletes to compete for NCAA Div. I swimming programs. Click here for the Penn Swim/Dive website.
Softball
Penn High School’s softball program is a perennial Top 10 team in Indiana. The program, which won the state championship in 1999 and 2023, has developed numerous NCAA Div. I student-athletes.
Soccer
Penn Girls Soccer is one of the elite programs in the nation. The Kingsmen earned state championships in 2016 and 2017, and finished ranked No. 1 in the nation in 2017.
Golf
Penn High School’s Girls Golf team has established itself as one of the elite programs in Indiana. The Kingsmen have won four state championships, and traditionally qualify for the state finals.
Cross Country
The Penn Girls Cross Country Team perennially challenges for honors at the IHSAA State Championships. The Kingsmen compete in some of the top Cross Country events in the Midwest in the regular season.
Basketball
Penn High School boasts one of the elite Girls Basketball programs in the State of Indiana. The Penn High School Girls Basketball team reached the pinnacle of the IHSAA state tournament by winning the state championship in 2016. The Kingsmen have a strong state tournament tradition, and play one of Indiana’s most competitive schedules. Head Coach Kristi Ulrich has guided the Kingsmen to a 349-63 record in the past 16 seasons (entering the 2025-2026 season). This marks her as the current winningest coach in Indiana Girls Basketball with an 85 percent winning percentage. She has coached more than 30 Collegiate Basketball Players and six Indiana All-Stars. The program focuses on family, selflessness, accountability, and competing with passion. These values are all centered around a positive culture to help grow and develop dedicated student-athletes.
Head Coach Kristi Ulrich is member and a poll rater for the IBCA and ICGSA. She is also a member of the IBCA All-State Committee, which selects players for the Indiana HS All-State teams for seniors and underclassmen. Coach Kristi Ulrich was selected to Coach the 2023 Indiana Girls Basketball All-Star Team. She was also selected as the Junior All-Star Coach in 2014, NIC Coach of the Year 6X, and the IBCA Coach of the Year in 2014.
