Lifetime Fitness Center

Student Access

Penn student-athletes use the facility for strength and conditioning. It is currently open only to student-athletes and teams during scheduled Strength & Conditioning classes.

The Fitness Center includes a large free weights area as well as a separate area with stationary bikes and cardio-vascular workout machines. Outside of the weight room are three basketball courts and a 200-meter track. The Lifetime Fitness Center also has male and female locker room and shower facilities.

Penn also offers a Strength and Conditioning Class for student-athletes and prospective student-athletes. It is a one-semester, one-credit class for students in grades 10-12. The class is offered during the school day, and during zero hour (before school). The course fee is $5.

This is a performance-based class and participants will be expected to work through a prescribed workout under the guidance of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Student-athletes will learn a variety of techniques that can be used to improve all aspects of physical fitness and performance.

Students will explore how to improve upper, lower, and core body flexibility, strength and power. They will work on ways to improve agility, speed, and nutrition.
