State law requires that nearly all minors aged 15-17 obtain work permits from the accredited high school in the district in which they reside in order to work in Indiana. Work permit applications and instructions are available in Student Services and also at the Door A visitors’ booth. The application process does involve obtaining information supplied by the prospective employer. The student must present a birth certificate and a completed Indiana Department of Labor “Intent to Employ/A1” form from the prospective employer before the school can finalize the official work permit.
Lost and Found/Theft Report
Students who have lost personal property should check at the Lost and Found at the Door A visitors booth. In addition students can file a personal property Loss/Theft Report in Student Services. Any electronics that are found are given to the Student Resource Officer (SRO) on duty.
Any student who has been threatened or bullied should come directly to Student Services, report it to the dean, and fill out a form detailing the incident.
All drug testing, random and otherwise, is conducted in the nurse’s office.
