Girl Up Club

Purpose Statement: Girl Up aims to inspire girls in our Penn High School community and beyond to become leaders, change-makers, and discover their true voices. The Girl Up club is part of a larger United Nations Foundation that includes satellite clubs around the globe. Through community service events, awareness campaigns, discussion-led presentations highlighting current events and female role models, and international opportunities to help girls around the globe in need – the Girl Up Penn High School club strives to make our community and beyond a better place for all.

 Activities the Girl Up Club is planning:

• International Fundraiser to help refugee girls in Uganda escape gender-based violence and continue their education
• Women of Empowerment Night celebrating female role models in our community through presentations and activities
• Collection drive for the YWCA-South Bend
• Presentations highlighting women who have made their mark on this world
