Scholarship Timeline, 2018-2019

Every year we provide a list of scholarships from local, regional, state and national organizations available to students.

These scholarships will be also be advertised in the weekly “Guidance Update” newsletter and/or in the weekly school announcements.

Reviewing the entire list early on will make students aware of the available scholarships and help them identify the ones the for which they will qualify and would like to apply.

Management & Business Academy

Through the use of technology and professional community connections the Management and Business Academy will prepare students for college or a career in business.

Why Management and Business Academy?

Management and Business Academy logoStudents participating in the Management and Business Academy  will develop a better understanding of the business world. Students have the opportunity to take classes for college credit or to work with a local company as a professional intern.

Within the Management and Business Academy, students will be able to take classes toward a Core 40, Academic Honors or Technical Honors diploma. Teachers will prepare students with a variety of skills, such as teamwork, personal financial skills, and problem solving needed for life beyond high school.

Every company regardless of industry needs business professionals to function, giving students with a business or business-related degree broad career options. Approximately 547,000 new businesses get started each month. In Indiana, 97 percent of all employers are small businesses and women and minority businesses have increased by over 50 percent.

Penn’s Creative Writing Society

Description: The aim of Penn’s Creative Writing Society Club is to allow students to express themselves freely through creative writing, to get those who are interested in writing but don’t know where to start a space where they can receive tips and help, to learn and write about the different perspectives and categories, and to most importantly, enjoy and treasure the art form and celebrate and acknowledge our peers work.

The purpose of the Club is to allow the creative minds amongst the Penn population to express themselves, learn and master the different forms of writing, have conversations about the various aspects of the club, and to receive feedback on their work.

Sponsor name: Carrie Morton.

Dues: $5 a year

Meets when: Every two weeks on Friday in Room 237.
