Future Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Club

The purpose of the Club: 

  • The Future OTs and Rehabilitation Club is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting health, independence, including, and community service through principles of occupational therapy (OT), rehabilitation sciences, and wellness. 
  • The club will introduce students to healthcare careers, while providing meaningful opportunities to improve the lives of others through education, advocacy, leadership and service. 
  • The club will focus on helping students understand how purposeful activities, adaptive strategies, and evidence-based interventions enable individuals of all ages and abilities to participate more fully in schools, sports, home, community, and work. 
  • The mission of the Future Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Club is to help develop compassionate leaders who use science, creativity, and service to help others live meaningful, functional, independent, and productive lives.

Future Occupational Therapists and Rehabilitation Club will: 

  • Promote awareness of OT and rehabilitation careers. 
  • Help support career exploration in health sciences and rehabilitation professions.
  • Build partnerships within Penn and possibly with community agencies and organizations and universities.
  • Foster leadership, service learning, and community engagement 
  • Introduce evidence-based practices that support independence and participation. 
  • Encourage critical thinking and problem-solving through real-world applications. 
  • Develop advocacy and empathy skills for people with diverse needs to help them be functional and productive lives.

There are no dues for this club.

Meetings are once a month on Tuesdays before school.
