Penn students enjoy significant AP score boost

Penn High School almost doubled the number of Advanced Placement students who scored a 3+ since 2021 and had 83 percent of its students score a 3+ in the 2024-2025 school year. That represents a 12 percent increase. Also, 81 percent of all Penn students taking AP exams scored a 3+, which is a 11% increase. A total of 28 of 33 AP exams had a mean score increase compared to 2024 scores
 
Penn led the state for the third year in a row in terms of the number of students who earned a credential through Ivy Tech (257 total).  This is an increase of 26 students, and 219 of the credentials are students earning the Indiana College Core certificate (equivalent to one year of college) or Associate of General Studies.
