After teaching English and creative writing since 2004, Caelea Armstrong joined the library staff in 2016. Her favorite authors are Gail Godwin and Ernest Hemingway. Caelea’s goals for the near future are to work with the newly created Friends of the Library club to implement changes and improvements that will make the space more inviting and functional to students and staff. Like Christopher McCandless in Into the Wild, sometimes she would like to just get in her car and drive west and explore the U.S.

Carol Whittaker has worked in the library for 22 years.  Working with students is her favorite part of the job.  In addition to helping students locate materials in our library, she can also request books and materials from other libraries via interlibrary loan.  Stop by and see her for any of your library or computer needs.

Mila Pierce has been at Penn for several years, but joined the library in 2015.

Student assistants are the friendly faces behind the counter. They are happy to help with Chromebooks, copies, laminating, and book checkout.
