Posted on March 15, 2019

The South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center on the campus of The University of Notre Dame on Sunday, March 17, 2019.

The SBYSO will be performing Music from Howard Shore's orchestral soundtrack to “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers” and “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.”

Guest performers include soprano soloist Maureen McMullan, as well as our very own Penn High School Choir! Maureen McMullan is the Concert and Event Producer for External Affairs at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

This afternoon (Friday, March 15) McMullan took time out of her busy schedule to be a guest lecturer for the Penn Choir as they prepare for this Sunday’s performance. She worked with students on posture, breathing techniques as well as giving a visual representation of the different ways in which we sing.

If you would like to see Maureen McMullen and the Penn Choir, Tickets for the South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra Gala concert start at $17 and must be purchased prior to the event.
