“Champions Together” Class Assemblies

Posted on August 27, 2019

The tone is being set for the 2019-2020 school year right off the bat going into this second week of school. Champions Together is conducting school assemblies starting with the Freshman class on Tuesday, August 27 (click to see Tuesday’s Photo Gallery), followed by the  Sophomores on Wednesday, August 28, and lastly the Juniors and Seniors on Friday, August 30.

As part of Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation’s renewed focus on social-emotional learning, Penn has worked with Champions Together to bring the message of “Inclusion Revolution” to the student body. Champions Together is a unique partnership between Indiana High School Athletic Association and Special Olympics Indiana. Champions Together says about it’s “Inclusion Revolution” program that it changes the  culture of schools by promoting awareness, acceptance, respect, anti-bullying, and inclusion of all persons with intellectual disabilities.

Watch the video below from Wednesday’s Sophomore Assembly to learn more about the message and how it will help improve the student culture at Penn High School …
