  • To participate, you would have needed to have earned 33 credits by the end of the fourth nine weeks of the school year.  Your counselor would have met with you if there was a problem.

  • We want to include as many students as possible.

  • Caps and gowns may be purchased  by going to Jostens.com to order.

  • Be at Purcell Pavilion at Notre Dame by 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 26.

  • Appropriate dress is required (see Senior Recognition Night requirements above).

  • Please have your parents drop you off at Gate 10 (south side of building, in front of Purcell Pavillion).

  • Do not put your gown on until you get inside the north dome, where Penn personnel will check you in.  You will go through Notre Dame security first, and they will make you take your gown off, if you are wearing one.

  • Please be aware that Commencement is considered a solemn occasion.  Whooping, yelling, cheering, noisemakers of any kind will delay the commencement ceremony and may even temporarily stop it.  Some cheering makes it difficult for everyone’s name to be heard when called by the reader. We want everyone’s family to hear their student’s name when read.

  • Do not bring valuables to Commencement!  Men, do not bring anything that can’t fit in your pant pockets. Ladies, you may bring a small clutch handbag if you need to bring anything.

  • NO CELL PHONES!

  • You will be checked by Notre Dame security.  They will take phones, electronics and non-essentials and place them all in a box for pick-up after commencement.

  • Once inside the north dome of Purcell Pavilion, you will find your name on the seating chart.  Go to your seat and sit down.  Counselors will check everyone in and take attendance.  Please make sure to complete the Google document that we sent you, which includes the phonetic pronunciation of your name.

  • When you walk, you will receive a blank diploma cover from the presenter on the stage.

  • Senior grades are due at noon on Thursday, June 9.

  • Your counselor will contact you if there is a course you’ll need to make up in summer school and your diploma will be pulled until you meet the required class or classes.  If you believe that you will not make it in a course needed to graduate, please see your counselor ASAP.

  • If you have concerns about a particular class, SEE YOUR COUNSELOR NOW!

  • Summer school (Seniors will go to summer night school) FREE.  You can sign up in the book store.

  • Counselors will review all transcripts and ready diplomas for pick-up inside Door A on Tuesday, June 20, from 9 a.m.-to-3 p.m.  There will be a letter in place of your diploma if you have a summer class to make up.  Your diploma will be available to you after you have completed the summer course.  Contact the main office at that time.

  • The cost of replacement diplomas is $40! (Don’t lose the one we give you!).

RIGHT NOW

Each student attending post-secondary education must send an eighth-semester transcript to the college or university you will attend.  If you are attending the school you applied to using the Common Application, please complete one of the blue eighth-semester transcript request forms.  If you are not attending your Common App school, please go to Parchment to send your final, eighth-semester transcript.

  • You will be sent a link to the Learnmore survey via e-mail.  Please complete it prior to leaving for the summer.
