Penn Mathematics Honors Society

Penn Mathematics Honors Society (PMHS) aims to promote the practice and enthusiasm of Mathematics at Penn High School and beyond in a fun, yet informative way!

What to expect at meetings:

National Science Honor Society

Science National Honor Society is a national organization that focuses on providing students opportunities to pursue their interests in science, as well as make a difference in the local community.

You’ll be able to:

  • Research what interests you

  • Meet professionals in the field

  • Work with elementary school students

  • Participate in other volunteer opportunities

  • Do laboratory experiments

  • Club sponsor: Mrs. Tiebout (atiebout@phm.k12.in.us)

The club meets the first Monday of the month from 3:30-4:30 p.m. in Room 266.

Dues are $5 for the school year.

Tickets/All-Sports Passes

Sports fans can see some of Indiana’s best high school athletes compete in events at Penn High School.

Penn has won state championships in 24 team sports. The Kingsmen compete in the Northern Indiana Conference, and also schedule a highly competitive non-conference slate.

  • All PHM Staff and one guest get in free with employee’s badge (guest must be with the employee)
  • Middle Schoolers wishing to attend events need to be accompanied by a ticketed, responsible adult who stays for the entire game

More than 1,200 student-athletes compete in the Penn Athletics program.

In addition to winning in the arena of competition, Kingsmen student-athletes also excelled in the classroom, combining for a cumulative Grade-Point Average of 3.54 (on a scale of 4.0).

Rules to Remember:

  • No reentry; once you leave, you are not allowed back in.
  • No outside food or beverages, no insulated cups
  • No backpacks
  • Diaper bags & large women’s purses are allowed
  • Penn does not have a clear bag policy
  • No electronic noise makers
  • No Footballs or Beach Balls
  • No weapons of any kind
  • No alcohol
  • No Smoking/Vaping products of any kind. All P-H-M school property is smoke free.
  • No open flames at private tailgating

Salt and Light

Description: The aim of the Penn High School Salt & Light Club is to help strengthen members’ walk with God, build healthy Christian relationships, and point others to Jesus in a broken world. The purpose of the club is to give glory to God. 

Eligibility Requirements: none – just come as you are!
 
The club meets every Wednesday at 7:40 a.m.

Student Parking

Student Parking passes will be available for eligible Juniors and Seniors for the 2025-2026 school year from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and 1:30-3 p.m. on Monday-through-Friday, starting on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025.

After Sept. 8, 2025, parking passes will be distributed before and after school only.

When in-person school is in session, parking passes are sold before school from 7:30-8:15 a.m. and after school from 3:17-3:30 p.m.

Students must bring the completed forms, ID, and other required items. 

  • Pay $40 to Penn High School’s Bookstore
  • Give the receipt from the Bookstore to Student Services

Cash and checks (made out to Penn High School) are acceptable payments.  We cannot accept credit cards at this time. Change will not be made so bring exact amounts. 

Students will go to the Counseling Center/Student Services office to show that required forms (posted below) have been filled out properly. After paperwork is filled out and approved, students will go to the bookstore to pay for parking pass.

Sophomores are not eligible for parking passes.​

The cost for “general” and “reserved” passes is $40 ($20 for a pass purchased in the 2nd semester).  There is the option for a limited number of ‘free’ parking passes for students who are willing to park in the bank and/or softball parking lots only.  

The information contained on this page will provide qualified students with the information they need to register and utilize the privilege of Student Parking at Penn High School.

Student Parking Guidelines

Click to read, print and fill out the 2025-2026 Parking Pass Acknowledgement Form. This document includes:

  • Instructions for applying for a parking pass, including obtaining a parent/guardian’s signature
  • Guidelines for parking, and disciplinary action for failure to follow guidelines
  • Parking rules acknowledgement 
  • Drug test consent form
  • Diagram of parking areas surrounding Penn High School

After the 2025-2026 Parking Pass Acknowledgement Form has been filled out and completed, students must do the following:

  • Bring the following to Student Services Office to apply for a parking pass:
  1. Valid driver’s license belonging to the student driver
  2.  Signed Rules Acknowledgement & Consent form from the 2025-2026 Parking Pass Acknowledgement Form
  3. Signed Drug Test Consent form at the bottom of the 2025-2026 Parking Pass Acknowledgement Form
  4. Vehicle registration card from the BMV
  • Pay $40 to Penn High School’s Bookstore
  • Give the receipt from the Bookstore to Student Services
