Sponsor: Cassandra McNamara

The National Archery in the Schools Programs is an in-school program aimed at improving educational performance among students in grades 4-12. Students are learning focus, self control, discipline, patience, and the life lessons required to be successful in the classroom and in life.”

There will be club dues of approximately $60 a year.

Tournaments range from $6-$8. State, Nationals and the Championship tournament do cost more. Nasptournaments.org will also tell you which tournaments are close to your area.

Archery Club gives students an opportunity to be a part of a team that isn’t as physically demanding. This club can help students learn to focus since, the only way to shoot well is to be able to focus which will also help academics. Archery is a competitive sport which has scholarship opportunities and state, nationals, and world competitions. These programs are through NASP. Archers will shoot from 10 and 15 meters.
