Penn Poms qualify for State Championships

Coach Cindi Minegar’s Penn High School Poms – perennial contenders for the state championship – qualified for another trip to the State Championships with an outstanding performance at the Regional Championships held on Saturday, March 5, at Lake Central High School.

 

Penn’s Poms will compete in the Division AAA Pom State Championships, scheduled for March 12, in New Castle, Indiana.

 

The Penn Poms team rose above adversity to qualify for the State Championships.

 

"The last two weeks have been rough with illness and injuries plaguing the team,” Minegar stated. “We hope to make some changes to our routine this week that will enhance our performance. Our competitors are top notch in the nation and we have a difficult road ahead of us! But I am fortunate to have a group of very hard-working young ladies!"
