Key Club is a community service club. We provide service to our students at Penn, other schools in the P-H-M system and various community organizations. Students must keep logs of their service hours. Twenty service hours per year is the minimum requirement.
Mission Statement: The aim of the Penn High School Key Club is to provide its members with opportunities of service, character building, and leadership development. It’s an international student-led organization.

The purpose of the Club: To develop initiative and leadership. • To provide experience in living and working together. • To serve the school and community. • To prepare for useful citizenship. • To accept and promote the following ideals: • To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life. • To promote the adoption and application of higher standards in scholarship, sportsmanship and social contacts. • To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive and serviceable citizenship. • To provide a practical means to form enduring friendships.
There will be club dues of $25 ($30 for Seniors who want to purchase cords for the 2027 Commencement ceremony) for the 2026-2027 school year. Seniors must meet requirements to receive a cord, prior to graduation.
- $20 is sent directly to state and international Key Club for fees required of each PHS member
- $5 is deposited into the Penn High School Key Club account
The PHS Key Club account supports: Community projects / donations; supplies / material needed for club promotions/gatherings; specifically for seniors = member recognition (e.g.,graduation cords)
Key Club relies solely on fundraising to support any additional financial needs in order to keep the club running effectively throughout the year.
Meetings: Regularly scheduled member meetings will be held the third Wednesday of every month at 7:45 a.m., in the CPA, unless stated otherwise.
Procedure for Joining: Contact Sponsor and/or attend a meeting.
