Penn hosts Robotics Tournament March 7-8

Penn High School will host a FIRST Indiana Robotics District Competition on Saturday, March 7, and Sunday, March 8, 2026. The event will be held in the Main Arena and features more than 40 teams from across Indiana.

Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. Competition is scheduled to be at about 7 p.m.

Opening ceremonies on Sunday, March 8, are scheduled for 9:30 a.m., with playoff matches and awards scheduled for 2-5 p.m.

This year’s competition them is FIRST AGE (Archeology), and the game is REBUILT.

This event is a qualification for the FIRST Indiana Robotics Championship (April 17-19 at the Indiana Sate Fairgrounds) and then leads to the FIRST Robotics World Championships.

Admission is free.

Parking is in the main lot. Spectators should enter at Door D (northwest corner of the school).

Food trucks will be available both days, 40 teams from across the state will be competing.

The Next Gen Day is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 7. Children can explore robots and STEM in the Fitness Center.
