Management & Business Academy
Through the use of technology and professional community connections the Management and Business Academy will prepare students for college or a career in business.
Why Management and Business Academy?
Students participating in the Management and Business Academy (MBA) will develop a better understanding of the business world. MBA students have the opportunity to take classes for college credit or to work with a local company as a professional intern. Within the Management and Business Academy, students will be able to take classes toward a Core 40, Academic Honors or Technical Honors diploma. MBA teachers will prepare students with a variety of skills, such as teamwork, personal financial skills, and problem solving needed for life beyond high school.
Small Business Administration Statistics
As of 2009, U.S. small businesses (employing less than 500 people) made up 99.7% of total employers.
In Indiana, 97.4 percent of all employers are small businesses and women and minority businesses have increased by over 50%. U.S. small businesses have generated 65% net new jobs over the past 17 years.
What does that mean for you?
There are many opportunities for entrepreneurs and business people in Indiana and throughout the country. Taking advantage of the broad range of classes in the Management and Business Academy can provide students with the knowledge and skills to be successful in college and life.

Students in the MBA have the exciting opportunity to participate in DECA, a co-curricular club for students with an interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, finance and management. This club is a competitive event team with opportunities to earn scholarships to several colleges and universities.
