Accelerated Reader

The Accelerated Reader program is designed to encourage students to read high quality literature. Students who wish to participate choose a book from the approved list and read it. Then you take a 10 to 20 question multiple choice test over that book on the computer. (The tests for Rosewater Award books are only 10 questions.)  If you pass the test you earn points and then you can collect the rewards we're offering. The rewards include coupons for free cookies from the cafeteria, a gift card for the Penn bookstore and your choice of free books from Barnes and Noble.  Many of the books on this program are ones you'll be required to read in English class anyway.
