Summer Reading Challenge
We'd like to encourage all students to read this summer just for fun! Please check out our recommended Summer Reading List and stop by the IMC if you'd like to check some books out for the summer. Books won't be due back until August 24th.
Recommended Books
You're also invited to participate in Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library's Young Adult Summer Reading program. The theme is POP Open a Good Book and the program runs from June 1 to July 31. For every 10 hours you read, your name will be entered into drawings for gift certificates. There will lbe two drawings. There is a registration prize of free tickets to the 4-H fair if you register between June 1 and June 9. You can also win Del Taco when you turn in your first 10 hours read. The books read for the MPH Public Library must be checked out from one of the three public libraries.
Checkout
All fiction, non-fiction and paperback books may be checked out for four weeks at a time. Reference books, magazines, and selected videos go out for one week. You must have your ID card to check out items.
Overdues
The charge for items that are overdue is five cents per school day. There is no charge for weekends or school holidays.
IMC Schedule Sign
This is the schedule sign you'll see when you walk through the IMC door. Please read it carefully so you'll know where to sit with your class. Room 129 is the computer lab on the far right-hand side of the IMC.
ID Cards
Your student ID card is also your library card. You must have it to check things out and also to get study hall passes. Please wear your ID whenever you are in the IMC. School rules require that you wear your ID while you are in the building.
Computer Network
The IMC has 30 networked Windows XP machines. Please note that the IMC computers are only to be used for class-related research or word processing. Using our computers for games or email is not allowed and students who disregard this policy may lose their computer privileges. There are two laser printers and you may print out the pages that you need at no cost. However, we ask that you print only what you need for school assignments.
