POPS Scholarship

The intent of the Penn POPS Scholarship Fund is to grant two (2) $400.00 non-renewable scholarships to two graduating seniors from the Orchestra for the purpose of furthering advanced education.

Applications are available in the Guidance Department at Penn High School and are due by April 1, 2010.
  

Elegibility Criteria for Selection are as Follows:

1. The graduating student must have a minimum of three (3) years consecutive enrollment in the music curriculum concluding with the senior year.

2. The student must pursue any 2- or 4-year college major.

3. A letter of intent describing involvement in school activities, goals, why the student is applying, community involvement, rewarding moments, and how the student plans to contribute back to society. Provide information that best describes accomplishments. Provide information regarding student's participation in the Music Department, involvement in school musical groups, and community involvement in the Arts.

4. Applicant must have a recommendation from their music director and a community recommendation on file.
