Tech Tips
Here are a few tips that might make your life as a student easier.
Tips for Composing at Home and Printing at School
1. Save your document as a rich text file. You can usually find this option under File>Save As. It is a type of file (bottom pulldown called "Save as type"). This will allow any program to open your document.
2. If you use special fonts or formatting that reside on your home computer, be aware that they may change, once you open your document at school.
3. The IMC has a few jump drives available for checkout. These make transporting large files or Power Point presentations much easier. See Mrs. Kizer or Mrs. Whittaker for more information.
Also
Star Office is a program, free to education, that is very similar to Miscrosoft Office. We will install it on all the computers in the ITC Lab and will copy it for students and teachers to install at home. Anyone wishing to have a copy, should bring a blank CD-R and we will copy it for them.
