Spell Bowl
Spell Bowl challenges students to learn a list of 3,500 spelling words from which students spell nine words in writing at competition where ten individuals make a team score. The competition and training build vocabulary for the SAT and college. Competitions include six invitationals, a regional, and state finals.
Eligibility Requirements: Open to all students 9-12
Time Commitment: Practices on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Procedure for Joining: Come to meetings
Activity Time Period: Mid-August to mid-November

Varsity Award Requirements: Must attend practices and competitions. Since there are so few competitions, there is no requirement for a certain amount of playing time although an effort is made to include all students in competition at some time during the season.
